Huawei recently unveiled its flagship P50 series smartphones, at the company’s product launch conference held last week. We have covered the launch of the company’s new devices, which will feature flagship specs and the promising new cameras and the Snapdragon 888 chipset. The company also announced its upcoming flagship TV, the Huawei Smart Screen V98, a massive 98-inch TV that is the largest smart screen from the Chinese manufacturer, along with a large price tag.
The Huawei Smart Screen V98 sports a large 98-inch 4K display that comes with anti-glare technology, according to a report by GizChina. It has a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels and a high refresh rate of 120Hz. It has full DCI-P3 colour gamut support. It comes with support for intelligent dynamic interpolation to tackle poor quality videos to get rid of freezes and stutters, which means that even content with lower frame rates should look good on the display.

The smart TV is equipped with a 24MP ultra wide-angle AI camera that comes with software features like portrait tracking, and features for kids. The Huawei Smart Screen V98 comes with support for DTS and Dolby dual decoding and support for casting, split-screen support and voice controls.
On the software front, the Huawei Smart Screen V98 TV comes with the company’s in-house HarmonyOS 2. It has support for fitness tracking for workouts like stretching, yoga, with support for movement detection and guiding users as they perform their workouts. The Huawei Smart Screen V98 can also talk to other smart home devices connected to your home Wi-Fi networks.
According to the report the device has been priced at a whopping CNY 29,999 (around ₹3.45 lakh) in China and the device will go on sale from August 12. There’s no word on when the device will be launched in India, or what its price will be, as Huawei has not yet announced global availability or pricing at this point.
