This feature was introduced by the company in April to help users unlock their iPhones when wearing a mask as Face ID can’t authenticate with masks on. Users of the Apple iPhone 13 series aren’t able to access this feature. Although it isn’t clear whether the bug is related to iPhone or iOS 15, Apple has acknowledged the problem. According to various developers, the bug has been resolved in the iOS 15.1 beta version.
