Several users of OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and Oneplus 8T smartphones were reportedly facing a few issues on WhatsApp. According to users, they were not able to send or receive a media file through WhatsApp. The users also report that the messaging app often crashes while sending or receiving media files. To fix the issue OnePlus has started rolling out a new update for OxygenOS, bringing the version up to 11.0.5.1 for OnePlus 7, 7T, 7T Pro.

The company has also started to release the OxygenOS 11.0.11.11 update for users of OnePlus 8T and OxygenOS 11.0.10.10 for OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro users. The update is available to few users right now but the company is planning to boost the over-the- air update to more users in the next few days. Apart from the WhatsApp bug, the changelog reports general improvements for the system. To install the latest update on your OnePlus smartphone, you can follow these steps:

1. Open Settings app on your OnePlus smartphone.
   
2. Scroll down and tap on System.
   
3. Tap on System updates.
   
4. If you have received the update, you will be able to see it here.

If you are facing issues while sending or receiving WhatsApp media files on mentioned OnePlus smartphones, you can also install the latest available update on your device through the Oxygen Updater app on Play Store.

OnePlus recently started updating its flagship OnePlus 9 series smartphones with the latest Android 12 operating system.
