Forgot WiFi Password? Windows 11, 10 users can find WiFi password easily- Know how - HT Tech

If you are a Windows 11 user and do not remember your WiFi password, then here are the steps you need to follow.

Having an internet connection is a necessity, especially when all personal and professional tasks are being done online. The Internet can be accessed by recharging your phone's SIM card with data pack or getting a WiFi connection. You can also spot WiFi connection almost everywhere- Restaurants, railway stations, offices, homes, among others. However, what you need to know is the WiFi password. In order to make your work easier you can keep on saving the WiFi passwords in your laptop or desktop. But, what if you forget the password or if you have recently formatted your device or have changed the WiFi password without saving it anywhere?

If you are going through any of the above mentioned situations and are not able to access the WiFi connection with any other device where the password has not been saved, then we will tell you how to know the password. If you are a Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8.1 or windows 7 user, there is a solution. If you don't remember your WiFi network password, you can find it, if you have another Windows PC or laptop already connected to your WiFi network.

After you find your password, you can use it on another PC or device to connect to your Wi-Fi network. On a Windows PC that's connected to your WiFi network, do one of the following, depending on which version of Windows is running on your PC or laptop.

Steps to see WiFi passwords in Windows 11, 10, 8.1 or 7

Step 1:

On Windows 11, select the Start button, type control panel, then select Control Panel > Network and Internet  > Network and Sharing Center.

Step 2:

On Windows 10, select the Start button, then select Settings  > Network & Internet  > Status  > Network and Sharing Center.

Step 3:

On Windows 8.1 or 7, search for Network and, then select Network and Sharing Center from the list of results.

Step 4:

Then once you find the Network and Sharing Center in whichever Windows system you are using, you need to select your Wi-Fi network name, next to Connections.

Step 5:

In Wi-Fi Status, select Wireless Properties.

Step 6:

In Wireless Network Properties, select the Security tab, then select the Show characters check box.

Step 7:

Your Wi-Fi network password will be displayed in the Network security key box.
