Amazon's big fall product launch event tonight: Here's what to expect - The Indian Express

Amazon is holding its invite-only product launch event later tonight. It’s safe to assume we are about to learn more about next-generation Echo speakers and Ring devices. But else is there to learn? Unlike an Apple event or a Samsung Galaxy event, there’s no massive hype around Amazon’s fall event. We know for sure Amazon is known for showing crazy devices at its launch events. The event kicks off at 9: 30 pm IST on Wednesday, September 28.

Here’s what you can expect to see at Amazon’s fall product event for 2022.

How to watch Amazon’s 2022 fall event

Amazon’s event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 28, so news should start coming as the launch is still on. Like the last few years, the event is invite-only for the press and won’t be streamed online. But we will be covering the event for you and will update you on the latest news and products.

What to expect from Amazon’s 2022 event

It is easy to guess that we are getting new Echo speakers at the event tonight. Expect the new Echo Dot and Echo Show 8, both speakers are due for an update. Even Amazon’s flagship Echo Studio was last updated two years ago. So it is safe to assume an updated Echo Studio with new internals inside and improved sound quality. Last year, the Echo Show 15 made its debut, a smart speaker resembling a picture frame that hangs on the wall.

Subscriber Only Stories

Speaking of home security, Amazon-owned Ring will also likely show a new camera lineup. During last year’s hardware launch from Amazon, the Always Home Camera stole the limelight. It’s essentially a drone designed to fly around inside your home. An announcement from Eero, the makers behind mesh Wi-Fi systems, is also expected.

Unlike Apple or Google, Amazon is known for creating weird gadgets and its fall launch has become the perfect launch pad for showing off new ideas. Last year, the company unveiled the Amazon Glow for kids. We also got a look at Astro, a robot that combines Alexa and Ring technologies to become your digital dog on wheels.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has 25W charging support, lower than Galaxy S22 Ultra - HT Tech

Samsung Galaxy S23 series has just passed through 3C certification.

Samsung Galaxy S23 series is slated to arrive early next year and one of the lineup models has just passed through 3C certification. According to GSM Arena, the corresponding model number SM-S9180 denotes the highest-tier Galaxy S23 Ultra model. In the certification, the device is listed to support a maximum of 25W charging (11V @ 2.25A).

This is lower than the Galaxy S22 Ultra's 45W charger support, but the S22 Ultra's 45W charging didn't make a significant dent in the charging times compared to the 25W charging of the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Other testing found that the S22 Ultra only achieved 45W charging for a very short period of time, so perhaps Samsung has figured out how to sustain 25W charging for longer through the charging cycle of the battery, which would still improve charging speeds or even close the gap between the 45W charging figures for the 22 Ultra, as per GSM Arena.

Another possibility is that 25W charging is limited to some variants of the S23 Ultra including, in this case, the Chinese variant.

The S23 Ultra is rumoured to have a similar design and dimensions as the S22 Ultra, thought the camera is expected to see a 200MP sensor update.

Meanwhile, it's expected that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will power the flagship. Recent reports suggested that Samsung will use Qualcomm chips on all its new lineup's variants, though there's a possibility that some units would be equipped with Samsung Exynos chipsets, as per GSM Arena.

WhatsApp “zero-day exploit” news scare – what you need to know - Naked Security

For the last day or two, our news feed has been buzzing with warnings about WhatsApp.

We saw many reports linking to two tweets that claimed the existence of two zero-day security holes in WhatsApp, giving their bug IDs as CVE-2022-36934 and CVE-2022-27492.

One article, apparently based on those tweets, breathlessly insisted not only that these were zero-day bugs, but also that they’d been discovered internally and fixed by the WhatsApp team itself.

By definition, however, a zero-day refers to a bug that attackers discovered and figured out how to exploit before a patch was available, so that there were zero days on which even the most proactive sysadmin with the most progressive attitude to patching could have been ahead of the game.

In other words, the whole idea of stating that a bug is a zero-day (often written with just a digit, as 0-day) is to persuade people that the patch is at least as important as ever, and perhaps more important than that, because installing the patch is more of a question of catching up with the crooks that of keeping in front of them.

If developers uncover a bug themselves and patch it of their own accord in their next update, it’s not a zero-day, because the Good Guys got there first.

Likewise, if security researchers follow the principle of responsible disclosure, where they reveal the details of a new bug to a vendor but agree not to publish those details for an agreed period of time to give the vendor time to create a patch, it’s not a zero-day.

Setting a responsible disclosure deadline for publishing a writeup of the bug serves two purposes, namely that the researcher ultimately gets to to take credit for the work, while the vendor is prevented from sweeping the issue under the carpet, knowing that it will be outed anyway in the end.

So, what’s the truth?

Is WhatsApp currently under active attack by cyercriminals? Is this a clear and current danger?

How worried should WhatsApp users be?

If in doubt, consult the advisory

As far as we can tell, the reports circulating at the moment are based on information directly from WhatsApp’s own 2022 security advisory page, which says [2022-09-27T16:17:00Z]:

WhatsApp Security Advisories

2022 Updates

September Update

CVE-2022-36934

An integer overflow in WhatsApp for Android prior to v2.22.16.12, Business for Android prior to v2.22.16.12, iOS prior to v2.22.16.12, Business for iOS prior to v2.22.16.12 could result in remote code execution in an established video call.

CVE-2022-27492

An integer underflow in WhatsApp for Android prior to v2.22.16.2, WhatsApp for iOS v2.22.15.9 could have caused remote code execution when receiving a crafted video file.

Both the bugs are listed as potentially leading to remote code execution, or RCE for short, meaning that booby-trapped data could force the app to crash, and that a skilled attacker might be able to rig up the circumstances of the crash to trigger unauthorised behaviour along the way.

Typically, when an RCE is involved, that “unauthorised behaviour” means running malicious program code, or malware, to subvert and take some form of remote control over your device.

From the descriptions, we assume that the first bug required a connected call before it could be triggered, while the second bug sounds as though it could be triggered at other times, for example while reading a message or viewing a file already downloaded to your device.

Mobile apps are usually regulated much more strictly by the operating system than apps on laptops or servers, where local files are generally accessible to, and commonly shared between, multiple programs.

This, in turn, means that the compromise of a single mobile app generally poses less of a risk than a similar malware attack on your laptop.

On your laptop, for example, your podcast player can probably peek at your documents by default, even if none of them are audio files, and your photo program can probably rootle around in your spreadsheet folder (and vice versa).

On your mobile device, however, there’s typically a much stricter separation between apps, so that, by default at least, your podcast player can’t see documents, your spreadsheet program can’t browse your photos, and your photo app can’t see audio files or docments.

However, even access to a single “sandboxed” app and its data can be all that an attacker wants or needs, especially if that app is the one you use for communicating securely with your colleagues, friends and family, like WhatsApp.

WhatsApp malware that could read your past messages, or even just your list of contacts, and nothing else, could provide a treasure trove of data for online criminals, especially if their goal is to learn more about you and your business in order to sell that inside information on to other crooks on the dark web.

A software bug that opens up cybersecurity holes is known as a vulnerability, and any attack that makes practical use of a specific vulnerablity is known as an exploit.

And any known vulnerability in WhatsApp that might be exploitable for snooping purposes is well worth patching as soon as possible, even if no one ever figures out a working exploit for stealing data or implanting malware.

(Not all vulnerabilities end up being exploitable for RCE – some bugs turn out to be sufficiently capricious that even if they can reliably be triggered to provoke a crash, or denial of service, they can’t be tamed well enough to take over the crashed app completely.)

What to do?

The good news here is that the bugs listed here were apparently patched close to a month ago, even though the latest reports we’ve seen imply that these flaws represent a clear and current danger to WhatsApp users.

As the WhatsApp advisory page points out, these two so-called “zero-day” holes are patched in all flavours of the app, for both Android and iOS, with version numbers 2.22.16.12 or later.

According to Apple’s App Store, the current version of WhatsApp for iOS (both Messenger and Business flavours) is already 2.22.19.78, with at five intervening updates released since the first fix that patched the abovementioned bugs, which already dates back a month.

On Google Play, WhatsApp is already up to 2.22.19.76 (version don’t always align exactly between different operating systems, but are often close).

In other words, if you have set your device to autoupdate, then you ought to have been patched against these WhatsApp threats for about a month already.

To check the apps you have installed, when they last updated, and their version details, ppen the App Store app on iOS, or Play Store on Android.

Tap on your account icon to access the list of apps your installed on your device, including details of when they last updated and the current version number you’ve got.

Technology: Apple likely to replace lightening port with C-Type in iPhone 15 - Free Press Journal

New Delhi: Apple tracker Mark Gurman, expects iPhone 15 to come with some "bigger changes," including USB-C (instead of Apple's proprietary Lightning port), the tech giant could introduce a new branding for high-end models.

Currently, phone users world over have been complaining that the exclusive lighenting port, instead of USB-C (C-Type) charging port, makes it difficult for them to charge their iPhone, mostly in the absence of a charger.

This will bring iPhone to a uniform charging port being used across the world.

The company has reportedly started testing the new USB-C feature owing to the European Union's new law that requires all new phones to have USB-C ports by 2024.

Reports further add that Apple may replace the current "Pro Max" branding next year with the top-end iPhone 15 series, calling it "Ultra".

The "Pro Max" branding appeared for the first time with the iPhone 11 series in 2019.

The company has already launched a rugged Watch Ultra and now has 'M1 Ultra' processor.

According to supply chain analyst Ross Young, the 'Dynamic Island' feature could arrive on all iPhone 15 models.

Analysts Ming-Chi Kuo has also suggested that "Ultra" will exclusively have a periscope lens (6x or 5x). Also, the Ultra will come with an improved battery life that lasts three-four hours longer.

With all these exclusive upgrades, the iPhone 15 Ultra is expected to go up in price compared to the 14 Pro Max, possibly starting at $1,200 (up from $1,100).

Apple'S Array Of M2 Macs And Ipads Could Be Website Updates Instead Of A Keynote Event - CNBCTV18

Mini

Apple's new release could include M2 and M2 Pro Mac minis, M2 Pro and M2 Max 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, M2 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros and more.

The next event on Apple’s calendar could be more of a “press releases, website updates, and media briefings” affair instead of an actual event.

Apple is set to release an array of new devices in October following the success of the iPhone 14 lineup. This includes M2 and M2 Pro Mac minis, M2 Pro and M2 Max 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, M2 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros and more, said Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his latest newsletter.

The release could also see an update to the Apple TV set-top box with an A14 chip and a RAM boost.

Gurman said, “None of these new products is a major departure for Apple. They’ll get some improved specifications and a chip that was already announced at a formal event in June at WWDC 2022.”

Also, the 10th generation of iPad with an A14 chip is expected later this year, which is expected to receive a design bump this year that mimics the flat iPad Pro. The renders on social media have shown a vertical rear camera setup similar to that on the iPhone X.

Talking about the design, the new 11-inch iPad Pro is also said to be getting the mini LED backlighting, which is currently only available in its larger sibling. Rumours of possible wireless charging support are also doing rounds.

WhatsApp working on let users turn themselves into a sticker, check details here - Zee News

New Delhi: During a video call, WhatsApp has been working on a feature that would let users switch to an avatar while turning off the camera. According to earlier rumours, the feature would be accessible once users join a video conference and turn off the camera. As per a recent leak, the business intends to expand beyond providing Avatars for video conversations by converting them into stickers.

Avatars will be made into stickers in the messaging app owned by Meta, according to a recent report by WABetaInfo, and users will be able to utilise them similarly to other stickers. According to the blog site's images of the functionality, when WhatsApp users press the stickers option in the message bar, the ability to make Avatar stickers will appear alongside the GIF, emojis, and stickers options. (Also Read: Flipkart launches 'sell back' programme; here's how to sell used smartphones on it)

Users will be able to create their Avatars by tapping the Avatar option for the first time, just like they can on Facebook. Following suit, WhatsApp will automatically transform the user's avatar into a sticker pack that includes a range of expressions and emotions, including meh faces, crying, love, heartbreak, LOL, and mind-blowing. (Also Read: Invest Rs 2,000 per month in THIS LIC policy, get a return of more than Rs 48 lakh; check details here)

In addition, there is a + sign to the left of the avatar feature in the message window. Users should be able to add extra Avatar stickers by tapping the plus and avatar icons. There isn't yet any certainty in this aspect, though. The screenshot provided by the blog site also demonstrates how WhatsApp users will be able to update their Avatar sticker pack by hitting the "Edit Avatar" button that will appear towards the pack's bottom.

The photos additionally demonstrate that WhatsApp users will be able to set their Avatar as their profile picture. This is comparable to a feature that the business provides on Facebook. According to the article, there is no information on when this function would be made accessible in the company's Android and iOS-based apps because it is still in the development stage.

Why I Am Buying a Google Pixel 6a During Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale, Despite Its Flaws - MySmartPrice

Google Pixel 6a

The Google Pixel 6a is one of the hottest deals right now during the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale in India, The Pixel 6a, which was launched in India just a couple of months ago has received a massive discount of Rs 9,800 discount and on top of that, the Flipkart is offering an attractive card offer of Rs 6,500, which brings down the price down to Rs 27,699.

The latest Pixel 6a is one of the phones with massive discounts available right now for under Rs 30,000 in India. The price is even less compared to the current selling price in the US market, which is not something we have witnessed in the past. Like any other Android enthusiast, I was intrigued by this massive offer, which was revealed a few days before the sale and I ordered the Pixel 6a right at midnight as soon as the sale started. But, the Pixel 6a is not a perfect phone even with massive discounts, there are a few flaws or drawbacks.

While the first set of reviews came out, many reviewers suggested the Pixel 6a is a hard phone to recommend at Rs 43,999 一 as it is too steep of a price to pay for a mid-range phone from Google. However, things changed when Google dropped the price. Even with this massive price cut, the Pixel 6a’s flaws are somewhat a black mark for many. In this article, I will explain why I pre-order the Pixel 6a during the Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale even when the phone has its drawbacks.

I Always Wanted A Pixel Phone and Google Dropped the Price at the Right Time

Like many other Android fans, I have always wanted to own a Pixel smartphone ever since Google introduced the Pixel series back in 2016. Although the first few generations were launched in India, because of the high price, I couldn’t get any of them. While the Pixel 4a was launched at Rs 29,999 in India, I had to skip that as well because I was changing phones quite frequently back then for review purposes.

Now, in 2022 second half I was looking for a mid-range phone and the Nothing Phone (1) was my first choice, but that did not end up well. In fact, I even ordered it twice but both units were defective and I ended up returning them. while I was in search of a reliable mid-range phone, Flipkart announced this excellent offer and it was just the perfect time for me — I got the device for an effective price of Rs 26314 with the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit card.

For a person who dreamt of owning a Pixel phone, this was just the right moment and there wouldn’t be a better time and offer on the latest Pixel phone.

The Excitement of Day 1 Android Update

I have often regretted not having a Google Phone whenever a new Android version dropped. One of the main reasons why I have opted for the Pixel is the luxury of getting day one updates from Google. In addition to the day one stable update, I can also try out the Developer Preview and Beta version of the latest iteration of the software as well.

The Pixel 6a will get guaranteed Android version updates until at least July 25, 2025, and the device will get security updates until at least July 2027. This means the Pixel 6a will pick up Android 14 and Android 15 updates on day 1 for sure. In addition to all these, the Pixel phones also receive new Pixel features every three months called Pixel Drop.

All these combined will certainly offer a great and smooth software experience and more importantly, the Android experience will be just like how Google wants to serve its users. And, of course, Pixel devices will offer a clean and pure Android experience.

The Pixel Camera Experience

The Pixel camera experience is one of the things I have been craving for a long time. Even on non-Pixel phones, I have tried and used the G Cam port, which gave me way better results than the regular camera. The Pixel 6a comes with a dual rear camera setup led by a 12.2MP Sony IMX363 primary and a 12MP Sony  IMX386 ultra-wide angle camera.

While these sensors are not the latest, these are Google’s reliable sensors. These sensors were the first part of the Pixel 2 lineup and despite the fact that these are a few gen old sensors, Google has managed to offer impressive results as our own reviews say  “Pixel 6a impressed us with its camera performance, and we have to admit that Pixel still has an edge against the competition, at least in the camera department”. The 8MP selfie camera can also get good results.

While that was about the hardware, the software experience is what sets the Google Pixel 6a’s camera from the crowd. For starters, Google offers Magic Eraser that lets you remove unwanted elements from the image after you have clicked. And, then there are features like AI scene optimization, OIS + EIS, real tone, cinematic pan, face unblur, night sight, and more 一 all of these software features along with proven ol’ camera hardware certainly something I am looking forward to playing with as soon I get my hands on my device.

The Power of Tensor

The Pixel 6 series is the first set of Pixel phones to be powered by the in-house Tensor SoC. The Pixel 6a shares the same SoC as the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. One of the biggest advantages compared to its rivals is that Google has control over both the hardware and software.

The Google Tensor processor makes apps launch fast, pages and images load quickly, and everything runs smoothly. In addition to all these, the chipset’s optimization of apps will also increase the battery life of the device. The Tensor is an octa-core processor and the phone certainly can handle all the day-to-day tasks with ease. But, most reviews have reported that the device runs a bit warm while gaming, but that’s not a concern for me since I don’t play games on my phone often.

Even though the device has only a 6GB RAM option, the Tensor SoC is expected to handle everything smoothly without any hiccups.

The Downside of Owning Pixel 6a in India

All said and done, the Pixel 6a is still not a perfect phone for many. Even at Rs 27,699, the phones have certain drawbacks and flaws. For starters, the phone does not come with a charger in the box and users have to spend Rs 2,000 on the official charger (although there are affordable options). The device supports only 18W charging, which is definitely not the best and it takes about 2 hours to completely charge the device, which can be painful for many.

Next, if you care about the high refresh rate, the Pixel 6a disappoints here as well as it comes with only a 60Hz OLED screen while the competition is offering 120Hz at the same price point. Lastly, the lack of service centres across India is one thing to worry about and as per many Twitter users, the experience has been quite underwhelming.

Even with all the aforementioned drawbacks, I have placed my order just because I want to experience Google’s stock Android experience, get instant updates, and exclusive features, and experience Google’s camera magic. All I can hope and pray now is that I get an issue-free unit from Flipkart

Should I Have Waited For Pixel 7?

Well, this was my initial plan, I was kind of saving up for the Pixel 7, but this deal was an eye-opener for me. The Pixel 7 series is confirmed to launch in India and the latest leak reveals that the device will start at $599, which is around Rs 48,660 the India price will obviously be costlier and once again, it will be out of reach for me.

Should You Buy the Pixel 6a in India Right Now?

The Pixel 6a is a great phone for under Rs 30,000, but it has its own flaws. If you can live with these few drawbacks that I have mentioned above, then pixel 6a is certainly a great deal for you. For me personally, the drawbacks certainly make it up in terms of the camera and software experience.

In the end, the Pixel 6a was a steal deal for me and I am very excited to try the device once it reaches me in a couple of days.

It is the new addition to the Photos app that lets you pick and pull the subject of any photo and send it to friends or add it to the notepad without the background. The new feature is very handy in cropping the subject out of an image and making a cool sticker or to just send it as a photo. Without the distraction of the background, the photos also become the perfect material to meme and create reaction stickers out of. But, you can do so much more. In specific, you can add these cut outs to another image to create cool effects and even prank your friends. And you can do it whether you're using the latest iPhone 14 or the older iPhone 13, iPhone 12 and others. Learn this cool iPhone photo hidden trick.

The iPhone hidden trick to add photo cut-outs to any other image

Think about the possibilities. You can add your own cut out to an image of your favorite celebrity or musician or you can add it to a really cool destination and trick your friends into thinking you really were there. You can also create hilarious memes with this. And why stop there? You can use your powers for good and create the perfect image collage with all your online friends. The possibilities are endless. But the question is how exactly do you do it? And the answer is by using Instagram stories.

This trick was shared by a TikTok user who goes by the username @howinfinity. The video has gone viral on the short video platform. And in under a minute, he showcased exactly how to pull off this photoshop-level editing move. So, if you want to do it too, just check the steps below.

B09G9D8KRQ

How to add iPhone photo cut outs to another image

Step 1:

First go to any photo in your iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone 12 or any other iPhone that supports iOS 16.

Step 2:

The image must have a front subject. It will not work with photos of scenery or buildings. The main subject must be distinguishable from the line of background.

Step 3:

Once you have opened the image, simply long press and pull the image. You should be able to extract the subject cutout. But don’t do that, instead wait for the option menu to pop up and select ‘copy’.

Step 4:

Now you need to go to Instagram, open stories and add an image to the story. And then long press to open the option menu and click ‘Allow paste’. Select it and you have your cutout on the new background.

Step 5:

You can position it and also increase or decrease it in size. Once happy with the results, simply save the image to your device and send it to your friends.

Soon you will need a Google account to use a new Fitbit smartwatch - BGR India

Google acquired health-tech company Fitbit back in 2021. Shortly after, the company began selling Fitbit smartwatches and fitness trackers on its online shop. And now, the company has announced its plans of fully integrating Fitbit in its portfolio. As a part of this plan, new Fitbit device owners will need a Google account to activate their Fitbit smartwatches and fitness trackers. Fitbit, in a support page, on its official website wrote, that sometime in 2023, the company will enable the use of Google account for activating a new fitness tracker. “We plan to enable use of Fitbit with a Google account sometime in 2023. Google accounts on Fitbit will support a number of benefits for Fitbit users, including a single login for Fitbit and other Google services, industry-leading account security, centralized privacy controls for Fitbit user data, and more features from Google on Fitbit,” Fitbit wrote in a support page. Bored and need a lifehack bad? Check these 5 cool and useful websites you had no idea existed - HT Tech

If you’re bored and looking for a lifehack to make life fun, then you should check these 5 cool websites that you didn’t know existed.

Are you stuck indoors with nothing to do? Have you opened your favorite social media app for the 50th time and closed it because there was nothing new there? If the answer to these questions is a yes, then you need something fresh to get out of the boredom. And what better way than some novel websites that not only provide the entertainment but also give you a useful lifehack at the same time. If you are in the same boat, then check out these 5 cool websites that you had no idea existed.

This website is your ultimate music recommendation platform. If you want some new music but also want to make sure that the music you're being suggested is not completely random, then this website can be your friend. While Spotify and YouTube algorithms do the same thing, you can't really control their behavior. If you click on a song by accident, they will even consider that in their personalization list. This website is simple. You write down three band names that you like and it suggests something similar. And you can always shuffle if you already know the band.

This is a cool way to kill your time. This website is your wacky music maker. Once you enter the website, every alphabet and the space bar key on your keyboard will be assigned a random tone. All you have to do is mix and match and you might just find the inspiration for the next Billboard top 50 song.

If you want a fun game to play, then this is a nice brain twister. The game has multiple boxes in different colors. You start from the cube on the top left. You are given color options on the right. And you have a finite number of moves. Your aim? Drench the entire board in a single color. And how do you do it? Every time you press a color button, the cube turns into that color and it also captures the adjacent cubes of similar color. Now you have to repeat the process till you capture all the cubes.

Ever felt like you had a thought you'd like to share but you wouldn't want anyone to know it was you? Then NOIYS is your place to go. The platform lets you post anonymous messages without needing to log in. Once you have posted, other anonymous users can respond to you. And the best part is that all the messages are deleted after 24 hours. Give it a try, you might make a new friend.

This website is the definition of infotainment. Little Alchemy 2 gives you four elements — fire, water, air and earth. And you have to mix these elements together to form new objects. And then mix those objects to form even newer objects. Mixing is very logic based so mixing two elements will only give you the new object which could be created in real life. This is both a fun game and helps you learn more about the world around us.

Apple rolls out iOS 16.0.2, addressing camera shake on new iPhones and copy/paste bug - GSMArena.com news - GSMArena.com

It’s been less than one week since Apple launched the iPhone 14 lineup and users were reporting violent camera shake when opening the camera on some third-party apps. The issue is now being addresses as an iOS 16.0.2 update is now rolling out to iPhones ahead of schedule.

Apple rolls out iOS 16.0.2, addressing camera shake on new iPhones and copy/paste bug

The shaking of the camera was seemingly caused by the second-generation sensor-shift OIS system in the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max’s main camera. Some users reported loud shaking and grinding noises coming from the camera when opening a non-Apple app that used the camera and make the camera unusable for these apps. This wasn’t affecting my personal iPhone 14 Pro unit.

Apple rolls out iOS 16.0.2, addressing camera shake on new iPhones and copy/paste bug

Other fixes were issued with the update as well. There were some complaints about the new copy/paste prompt that came with iOS 16. It would ask users permission to copy and paste content between apps and its frequency was apparently annoying some users.

The update also fixes an issue that was apparently breaking touch input for some users with unresponsive touch input following a display replacement affecting iPhone X, XR, and iPhone 11.

The update is now rolling out to all supported iPhones. To pull the update, head into Settings > General > Software Update.
