Apple Vision Pro headset, last year’s event highlight, may soon be available in the United States. This follows a report citing supply chain reports that Apple may release the headset on January 27. The new update also aligns with Mark Gurman's report, which stated that the company is ramping up production and may release the headset soon.
Apple Vision Pro Production Details:
According to reports, Sony is the primary supplier for the Vision Pro, with expertise in screen technology. Another unnamed Chinese company is also supplying the company with technology to increase production capacity if the product is in high demand.
The OLED screen in the Apple Vision Pro is equipped with the Colour Filter (CF) + WOLED scheme, which creates colour by passing white light through an RGB colour filter. This results in excellent visual quality with excellent precision, vibrant colours, and overall screen quality.
In addition, the company appears to be planning to release an improved Vision Pro headset by the end of 2027, possibly with RGB OLEDoS technology for increased brightness over the WOLED+CF model. By producing light and colour directly from RGB sub-pixels, RGB OLEDoS reduces the need for colour filters and increases the brightness of the display.
Meanwhile, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at Tianfeng International, has said that the company is planning to ship over 500,000 units this year. He also stated that Vision Pro could be the next star product in the consumer electronics segment and will set a new standard for high-end tech products. For those unaware, the Apple Vision Pro price starts at $3,499.
