Samsung Galaxy A15 5G Recevies Bluetooth SIG And IMDA Certification Ahead of Official Launch - MySmartPrice

Samsung is expected to soon launch the Galaxy A15 5G smartphone. The device was recently listed on Walmart along with the detailed specifications and pricing. The listing revealed that the device will feature a 6.5-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution, 4GB of RAM, up to 128GB of internal storage, and a 50MP main camera.

While Samsung is yet to officially announce the smartphone, the device now has received the Bluetooth SIG certification ahead of launch. Both the A15 4G and 5G models have received the Bluetooth SIG certification. Besides, the Bluetooth SIG certification, the A15 5G also has received the IMDA certification.

Samsung Galaxy A15 Will Have Bluetooth v5.3 Support

The Bluetooth SIG certification confirms that the Galaxy A15 4G and 5G models will have Bluetooth v5.3 support. The listing also reveals the model number and confirms the moniker as Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy A15. The IMDA certification on the other hand confirms that the A15 5G will have NFC support.

In a piece of related news, the Galaxy A14 4G model was spotted on the NBTC certification website a couple of days back. The certification revealed the model number of the handset as SM-A155F/DSN. Additionally, the listing confirmed that the device will offer 4G LTE support. As far as the specifications of the device go, it is expected to feature a Helio G99 SoC as revealed by the Geekbench listing earlier. The smartphone might pack up to 4GB of RAM, and it could run Android 14 out of the box.

On the other hand, the Galaxy A15 5G is expected to feature a 6.5-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution. The device might have a water-drop shape notch which could accommodate the selfie camera. Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to be powered by Dimensity 6100+ SoC which could be coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The smartphone might boast a 50MP primary camera. The 50MP sensor could be paired with a 5MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth camera. The front of the smartphone is expected to include a 13MP selfie camera. The device is likely to pack a 5,000mAh battery which could offer 25W fast charging support.

Now, BMC to provide tetra milk packets in all civic-run hospitals - Hindustan Times

A BMC official said initially, the civic body thought of going ahead with the procurement of milk packets. “It took us four months before we decided to go ahead with tetra packs, as they are easy to store and can be used as per the day’s requirement.”

Mumbai: A year after Aarey Dairy discontinued milk supply to civic-run hospitals, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will start providing tetra milk packers to all its in-patients, which can be directly served to the patient instead of serving loose milk in a glass.

This marks the first time that the CPD will oversee the tendering of milk purchases for all civic hospitals. To accommodate the shift to tetra packs, BMC has increased its budget from ₹14 crore to ₹42 crore. (Shutterstock)

On August 29, the Aarey Dairy wrote to BMC saying it would not be able to provide the civic body milk supply. The hospitals then locally purchased milk for paediatric patients, pregnant women, and patients on a nasogastric tube (a narrow-bore tube that is passed into the stomach through the nose for nutrition) who needed milk.

“We have decided to provide tetra milk packs as it is more convenient, and we do not have to serve loose milk to the patients. We are going to buy tetra packets of 100 ml, 200 ml, 500 ml, and 1 litre wherein 100 ml can be directly served to the patients,” said Vijay Balamwar, joint commissioner, central purchasing department (CPD).

A BMC official said initially, the civic body thought of going ahead with the procurement of milk packets. “It took us four months before we decided to go ahead with tetra packs, as they are easy to store and can be used as per the day’s requirement. Milk packets were boiled in the morning and had to be finished the same day. Tetra packs will help in bringing down possible wastages,” Balamwar said.

This marks the first time that the CPD will oversee the tendering of milk purchases for all civic hospitals. To accommodate the shift to tetra packs, BMC has increased its budget from ₹14 crore to ₹42 crore. Tetra packs of 100 ml and 200 ml will now be included in the procurement.

The city’s major hospitals, including KEM, LTMG Sion, Dr RN Cooper, and BYL Nair, along with 16 peripheral hospitals and 30 maternity homes, on a daily average collectively consume 4,000 liters of milk. The four major hospitals alone require 700 liters daily, and Aarey Dairy previously supplied this milk at a subsidized cost of ₹39 per liter.

A doctor from a civic-run hospital said milk is a crucial part of the patients’ meals. “Most of the hospitals were prioritising the patients to serve the milk instead of giving it to all. They were purchased from local vendors. It is good that the corporation will now provide to all patients,” the doctor said.

YouTube rolls out 'Playables' for Premium subscribers - ETTelecom

In an effort to lure users to subscribe to its paid Premium service, Google-owned YouTube is rolling out a new feature called Playables, which will let users play games directly on the platform.

Playables is a separate section of the YouTube app or desktop website that allows users to play arcade games without downloading anything, reports Gizmochina.

When users enter Playables, they will see two tabs - Home and Browse.

The Home tab shows a selection of popular titles as well as a list of recently played games. The Browse tab, on the other hand, has a larger selection of games, with around 37 currently available.

Popular titles such as Angry Birds Showdown, Brain Out, and Daily Solitaire are among the first games available on Playables. While the current library is small, more games are expected to be added in the future.

Playables is currently in beta testing and is only available to a select group of Premium subscribers. YouTube, on the other hand, plans to gradually expand access to Playables in the coming months, the report noted.

YouTube intends to continue offering Playables until March 28, 2024, at which point the company will evaluate its performance and make a decision on its future.

Meanwhile, YouTube has said it is testing new generative AI features that'll let people create music tracks using just a text prompt or a simple hummed tune.

The company introduced Dream Track, an experiment on YouTube Shorts which is powered by Google DeepMind's most advanced music generation model to date, Lyria.

A 3-year-old girl died after a glass door of a garment showroom fell on her in Ghumar Mandi, police said on Saturday.

The girl, who is from Flower Enclave in Basant Avenue, went to the showroom with her parents on Friday and started playing around the door when it suddenly fell on her.

The girl was rushed to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where the doctors declared her dead. The Division number 8 police reached the spot and initiated an investigation.

According to the eyewitness, the girl was swinging around the door holding the handle when the whole structure fell on her. The girl suffered severe injuries.

Inspector Vijay Kumar, SHO at Division number 8 police station, said that the police will take action after recording the statement of the parents of the girl.
