How to change Google Meet background; make it fun, get the WOW! factor working for you - HT Tech

Shed formality, make Google Meet background vibrant. Here are simple and easy steps on how to do so.

Do you know you can make your Google Meet background fun and interesting? Yes, you can do it easily. You can now blur or replace your background with an image, an immersive background, or even a video to make Google Meet more fun. You can customise your video by adding different lighting, colour filters, and stylized backgrounds. There are many times when we do not wish for others to see the real background behind us in a meeting. Google Meet offers an in-built visual effects feature that allows users to change the background of your video or blur it. However, note that background effects may increase your battery usage and your video may also be cropped to view other participants so some of the background or effect may not be visible to other participants.

Here’s how to change Google Meet background and make it fun and entertaining at the same time.

How to change the background during a call

1. If you’ve already joined the meeting and want to blur or change your background, simply go to the self-view tab and tap Effects.

2. To blur your background follow the similar steps as mentioned above.

3. However, if you want to add your own background, tap on Add and select a pre-uploaded background

4. Tap the background that you want to use. You can even select a style, at the bottom or a filter as per your choice and tap close.

5. It’s done! Your background will be changed.

Apple services including App Store resume after outage for second straight day - ETTelecom

Apple services including App Store resume after outage for second straight dayApple Inc's Apple Music, mobile App Store and Podcasts resumed services on Tuesday, after facing outages for a second consecutive day, according to the company's system status page.

Tuesday's outage also affected Mac App Store, users of Apple Card, Apple Books, iCloud Web Apps and Weather. The outage on Monday affected 11 of Apple's services, including Arcade and Maps.

It was not immediately clear what caused the outages on both days, but Bloomberg News reported on Monday that Apple told staff that the outage stemmed from domain name system, or DNS - an address book of the internet which enables computers to match website addresses with the correct server.

Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Tuesday's outage.

New Delhi: Apple services such as Apple App Store, Apple Music, iCloud, Maps, Apple TV+ and other services suffered a widespread outage and the tech giant has acknowledged the issue. According to Apple's system status page, 11 outages were shown including podcasts, music, and arcade. The services are back online now after the widespread outage.

The Apple apps that were affected by the outage included Apple App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, iCloud (Account & Sign In, Calendar, Drive, Keychain, Mail and Web Apps), iOS Device Activation, Find My, Maps (Display, Navigation, Search and Traffic), AppleCare on Device, iTunes Store, Fitness Plus, Podcasts, and Radio.

According to outage detection website Downdetector.com, over 4,000 users reported issues with accessing Apple Music and as many as 4,000 reported problems while accessing iCloud. Users also flagged issues with "find my iPhone", Apple store, maps and support.

The Cupertino, California-based tech giant had responded to some users hit by the outage on Twitter. However, it is not yet known what caused the outages. According to news agency Bloomberg, Apple’s corporate staff working from home and retail workers were also facing issues. The outage delayed product repairs, pickups as well as limited workers’ access to internal websites.

Meanwhile, since the start of the Ukraine invasion, the Russian App Store has lost nearly 6,982 mobile apps as several companies decided to pull off their apps and games from the Apple App Store. According to data by app intelligence firm Sensor Tower and shared with TechCrunch, those apps had been downloaded around 218 million times in Russia, representing around 3 per cent of their total 6.6 billion installs globally.

OnePlus leak suggests six new phones by September, including a OnePlus 10 Ultra - Android Police

OnePlus is about to emulate its parent company, Oppo, by expanding its product portfolio. A new leak says there will be six devices coming from the company by the end of September, and they're set to be a mix of mid-range devices and flagships. The source is leaker Yogesh Brar and 91Mobiles (via GSMArena) who previously had accurate information on the OnePlus Nord 2 before it was revealed.

Brar claims there will be a OnePlus 10 Pro announcement before the end of March. That doesn't surprise us as the company has said it'll bring the phone to global markets by a similar date. The leaked information here begins in April with the reveal of a OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite. That is set to be followed by a OnePlus Nord 2T at the end of the month or in early May.

Then the leak suggests a OnePlus 10R will land in May, with a OnePlus Nord 3 in July and a OnePlus 10 Ultra before the end of September. Interestingly, Brar refers to those last devices as the OnePlus Nord Pro and OnePlus 10 Pro Plus, respectively. It's unclear if he's suggesting these could be official names for the products or some context to where these devices will sit.

Brar hasn't shared details on where these devices will be made available but expect only to be able to buy certain products. For example, the OnePlus 9R was only made available in India, so we won't expect the OnePlus 10R to go on sale in the US or other global markets.

The same source has also recently suggested the company may introduce a Nord-branded smartwatch as an affordable alternative to the OnePlus Watch. It's also thought the company may be working on affordable earbuds with the same OnePlus Nord name. Expect lots and lots of new announcements from OnePlus over the coming months, and they won't all be about its flagship OnePlus 10 Pro series.
