Earlier this year, Vivo unveiled the Vivo V51A, a scaled-down version of the Vivo Y51. At launch, there was only one variant of the smartphone available for purchase with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Now, Vivo has launched a cheaper variant of the Vivo Y51A with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. One can’t help but wonder why Vivo didn’t do this at launch, but this seems to be an emerging trend among low-cost smartphone makers of late. Nonetheless, it comes as a welcome move for prospective Vivo Y51A buyers who can now save a few bucks on their smartphone purchases.
Vivo Y51A 6GB RAM price in India
The Vivo Y51A 6GB RAM variant will cost Rs 16,990 in India, a full Rs 1,000 lower than its maxed-out version, which still retails for Rs 17,990. The smartphone will be up for grabs in two colours, Titanium Sapphire and Crystal Symphony. For now, it is only purchasable on Vivo’s official website and its availability on other platforms isn’t clear at this point.
