The tech giant Apple is exploring new health-focused features to add to AirPods, according to a recent report in The Verge. According to speculations, the new features may help AirPods take the user's temperature, monitor their posture while also improving their hearing.

However, there's yet no confirmation when and if at all these features will be rolled out for consumers as Apple at the moment is just exploring these ideas a possible new feature update for AirPods. These changes "aren’t expected by next year and might never be rolled out to consumers or the timing could change,” the report further said.

Going by the tech giants recent updates in its fresh line-up of products , it comes as no surprise that Apple is exploring new ideas in the health and fitness section. At the recent launch, Apple threw major attention to health well-being by introducing several key health related tools and features.

According to reports that surfaced last month, the company was looking at various new sensors to add to the wearable, including monitoring blood pressure, temperature, sleep quality, blood oxygen and blood sugar.

The tech firm, which is all set to launch its Unleashed event happening on October 18, might drop new AirPods 3 at the launch, as per reports.

The reports further suggest that the third generation AirPods might be priced a tad-bit higher than AirPods 2. The new wireless ear-phones are reported to flaunt a slimmer look while lacking Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).
