Battlegrounds Mobile India is finally receiving the anticipated Virus Infection game mode that will let you fight your enemies either as humans or zombies. There are three rounds in this mode, and your goal, if you are a zombie, is to infect humans, while as a human, you have to protect yourself from getting infected. The new update brings the mode, along with the Payload 2.0 mode, as well, which brings high-power weapons in the game, and helicopters.
In an Instagram post, Battlegrounds Mobile India announced that both the new modes - Payload 2.0 and Virus Infection - are now available for players. These are both a part of the makeover inspired by PUBG Mobile. Krafton has been trying to make Battlegrounds Mobile India work and feel more like PUBG Mobile, like it is meant to.
When you enter the Virus Infection mode, you have to join forces either with the zombies or with the human clan. And there can be only one winning team. As zombies, your goal is to infect as many humans as you possibly can. But it will not be easy because humans are supposed to protect themselves to win the battle and they will use anything for that. Zombies, too, have items that they can use. There are boosters in the game that zombies can use to reach level three and become ‘Zombie King’. Humans, if they survive till the last three people remain, become ‘Heroes’.
The zombie mode sounds interesting and I am excited about playing it because of my fascination with zombies. But the other mode is also what has got me equally excited - Payload 2.0.
Payload 2.0 is essentially a super-violent and noisy mode that brings what the game calls ‘Super Weapons’. Basically, players get access to the most advanced and deadliest weapons in the mode, such as a bomb suit. There are also things like armoured vehicles, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAF) and a radar that you can use against your enemies. In this mode, you also get to revive your fallen teammates with a special revival system, so your team is going to be full all the time. This mode will appear in the EvoGround section of the game.
To get the new modes, you need to be on Battlegrounds Mobile India 1.6.5 update, which began rolling out last month. It also brings Metro Royale: Reunion, Vikendi, Runic Power, and Survive Till Dawn modes for players.
