Apple Search could be announced at this WWDC 22 event, suggest latest rumour. Here are all the details.
Apple might be taking one step towards enhancing its own information database with a new Search Engine. Yes, an Apple Search engine, just like Google Search. A recent tip suggests that the WWDC will be the first of three events for Apple to lead to an augmented reality world, which will be finally unveiled in June 2023. In the middle of Spatial Computing, AR and so on, one of the tweets from Robert Scoble says that Apple could be announcing its own Search engine at the WWDC event.
In his thread of several tweets detailing what Apple could announced in the coming event, Scoble says at last, “Oh, and a new search engine is coming too. Will Siri finally get "smart?" Hmmm.” He does not reveal any details about this Search Engine but rumours had it long that Apple was working on a Google Search rival of its own. The existence of an Apple Search could help with the possibility of Siri getting smarter as a voice assistant, as has been the case with the Google Assistant.
Apple Search engine could come soon
The Apple Search could be a huge step in expanding the Apple ecosystem, and eventually helping Siri as well as its other services take advantage of the way Apple does things. Android already relies on Google Search for most of its smart features, and Apple could benefit from the same. The Apple Search, like Google Search, could be deeply integrated with the iOS ecosystem — the Spotlight search could take the most advantage of such a search engine.
Moreover, the Apple search engine could further Apple’s cause of a private and secure ecosystem. Google has been notorious for capturing user data and breaching user privacy, especially with its services dedicated to being an advertising engine.
While we have to wait for more details on an Apple Search engine, we already have a fair idea of what to expect from the iOS 16 update. The iOS 16 update this year will be another iterative version update that will bring changes to the lock screen, notification management, health features and more. The iPadOS update is also expected to improve multitasking with a revamped UI, while watchOS update will get updated health tracking features.
