Do you have these iPhones? Beware! You are at a Major risk from hackers - HT Tech

Millions of iPhone devices are going to become the favorite destination for hackers in just a couple of months. Find out if your device is part of it.

In just a couple of months, millions of iPhone devices across the world are going to become vulnerable and dangerous to their users. This will happen because once the iOS 16 update rolls out, older models will stop getting OS updates and security updates. While OS updates are not a big loss, not receiving security updates will make these iPhone devices vulnerable to malwares and hacking attempts. These iPhone devices will become easy targets for all kinds of viruses and attacks and it should not be taken lightly. Check out which devices are going to stop receiving security updates. These phones are iPhone 6S, iPhone 7 and 1st-generation iPhone SE.

Older iPhone devices to become vulnerable to malwares and hackers

Apple has surprised fans by stopping support and updates for a number of iPhones.. As a result, a lot more devices than usual will become unsupported once the iOS 16 is rolled out. And that is the moment when any users of those devices need to act.

Without security updates, these devices will not get protection against newer malwares and hacking attempts. So any new malwares like the recently found Joker malware in Android can attack the device and steal money and information easily. As Apple will not be updating the security framework, the first wall of defense will be gone.

Using a device like that is a risky choice that is not recommended. Once the support cycle of any smartphone is over, users should look to upgrade the device as modern smartphones contain a multitude of personal and financial information stored inside of them. Further, the risks grow even more during hacking attempts as a malicious hacker can not only gain access to the device but also lock you out from it.

This time, iPhone 6S, iPhone 7 and 1st-generation iPhone SE will be cut off by Apple, so if you use any of these iPhones, consider upgrading to a newer model or an Android device.

Following is the full list of devices which will continue to get security updates from Apple.
