According to the company, users will now be able to do a quick poll during Teams meetings. The company said that presenters will be able to launch the polls without preparing in advance. One can speak a question out loud and click on the corresponding response icon. As of now, Microsoft Teams is the only application that offers 1-click instant polls during meetings.
At present, the Teams supports up to nine videos of (3x3) on the screen which is also the default setting. However, with the new update users will now be able to see as many as 49 videos (7x7) on the screen. One simply needs to tap on the Large Gallery view option.
“Microsoft Teams meetings currently supports a maximum of nine videos on the screen by default in the gallery view. To see more than nine videos, users have to manually select the large gallery view,” the company said. The new update will also offer a screen pop for incoming PSTN calls. “Admins can enable this policy in the Teams Admin Center, so that on acceptance of a PSTN call, an automatic browser launch can happen alongside Teams, displaying relevant information (CRM data, case data, etc.) to the user. This feature can also now be turned off in user settings,” the company wrote on its official blog.
Another interesting feature is the transcription for calls on Teams for Android. This feature can come in handy for those who are on the go or do not have a notepad with them. Besides, Teams users will now be able to schedule messages and start Teams Chat with distribution groups, Office 365 Groups, and mail-enabled security groups.
