Samsung could hold separate Galaxy Z Flip 5, Fold 5 launch event in the US and Canada - SamMobile - Samsung news

Samsung confirmed last week that it will hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event in South Korea next month. While the company didn’t reveal the exact date for the unveiling of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5, it has been reported that the next-generation foldable phones could be unveiled on July 27. Now, a new report claims that the South Korean firm will hold separate launch events in North America.

Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 could be launched in Canada and the US on August 11

According to a report from MySmartPrice, Samsung is scheduled to hold launch events for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in Canada and the US on August 11, 2023. It is around the same time frame that Samsung usually chooses to unveil its new foldable phones and smartwatches. No other details have been revealed about these events so far.

Samsung will unveil a bunch of new devices during its next event: Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Watch 6, Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, Galaxy Buds 3, Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. We exclusively revealed a few months ago that Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy SmartTag object tracker would be unveiled this year.

While the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will come with a new hinge mechanism and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, the Galaxy Watch 6 series will largely have the same features as its predecessors. The next smartwatches from the company will use the Exynos W980 processor. The Galaxy Tab S9 series will feature 120Hz OLED screens, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, and an IP67 rating in all models.
