Sony Project Q: Upcoming Gaming Handheld Spotted Running On Android | Watch - Jagran English

JE Technology Desk: Sony Project Q gaming handheld may run on Android. At least this is what a leaked video suggests. As shown by @Zuby_Tech on Twitter, the console's screen is wrapped in a plastic sheet on the front. Once the tipster swiped the touchscreen display, an app drawer, similar to Android, pops up.

According to The Verge, it runs on a basic version of Android. A QR code is visible on the screen, the purpose of which is unknown. Three typical Android-fashioned buttons (Back, Home and App Overview) are visible on the screen. The platform speculates it as half-baked software, and the final build will likely have a more refined OS experience.

In the video, the individual interacts with the screen for some seconds and then turns the device from all angles to record the footage in the camera. However, the low resolution does not give us a clear view of the elements of the gaming console. A set of four buttons on each side are visible. A separate tweet gives us hints at the internals beneath the screen. The PS5 accessory may run on a Qualcomm chip, according to 9To5Google.

Sony PlayStation Project Q Features (Expected)
