Save $100 Off the ASUS ROG Ally Z1 Extreme Gaming Handheld with This My Best Buy Plus Deal - IGN

Best Buy is offering the first discount we've seen for the ASUS ROG Ally gaming handheld. Best Buy is offering the higher end AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme model, which normally costs $699.99, for $599.99 ($100 discount) for My Best Buy Plus members. An annual My Best Buy Plus membership costs $49.99, so your total would come out to $649.98. You can automatically add the membership to your cart from the page.

Update: For a limited time, My Best Buy Plus members get an extra $50 rewards certificate when they make a purchase of $500 or more. This deal is eligible and it basically recuperates the cost of the membership.

The ASUS ROG Ally is seen as a more powerful version of the Steam Deck. Hardware-wise, that's definitely the case. The ROG Ally sports a 7" 1080p 120Hz display which is powered by an AMD Z1 Extreme CPU. Software wise, it's quite a bit different from the Steam Deck. Whereas the Deck runs off the Linux-based Steam OS, the ROG Ally runs off the familiar Windows 11 OS. That means that you can install pretty much any Windows-based game launcher, including Steam, Battle.net, Xbox Games Pass, Epic Games Store, GOG, Ubisoft Connect, and more. Obviously that makes it more attractive to gamers who like to play games that aren't available on Steam, like Diablo 4, Fortnite, Genshin Impact, Call of Duty, and Forza Horizon 5.
